Alessi Ossidiana Stovetop Espresso Maker, Black
Utilizing his deep understanding of an object's narrative potential, Sicilian architect Mario Trimarchi designed the "Ossidiana" stove top espresso coffee maker. Akin to his other projects, this one is rooted in memories and fragments of images, manifested through the form of an article. The "Ossidiana" embodies the recollection of the various aspects of the traditional moka coffee pot, as well as those of obsidian, the volcanic stone that lends the design its name.
Crafted in thermoplastic resin with a cast aluminum construction, the "Ossidiana" coffee maker is best suited for hand washing. Notably, it is not compatible with induction stove tops. The dimensions of the design measure 8 3/4 inches in height and 4 inches in width.
